Inspection-led pest control

Frequently asked questions.

Clear answers about inspections, preparation, treatment, safety, results and ongoing pest management.

Booking & inspection

Share your name, phone number, Lagos location, property type, pest or signs observed, affected areas, how long the issue has been present and any treatment already attempted. Photos can be helpful but may not replace an inspection.

Photos can help narrow down a concern, but they may not show the source, extent or contributing conditions. Some jobs can be scoped after a detailed discussion; others need an on-site inspection before a reliable recommendation.

Appointments are available across Lagos subject to schedule and exact location. Send your area and landmark when enquiring so travel and availability can be confirmed.

Urgent or same-day availability depends on location, the pest and the existing schedule. Contact us as early as possible and explain why the request is urgent.

Treatment & safety

No pest-control product is risk-free if misused. Product and method selection should consider the pest, site and occupants, and all label, preparation and re-entry directions must be followed. Tell us about children, pets, pregnancy, allergies and sensitive operations before treatment.

It depends on the method and product. Some services may allow occupants to remain away from the immediate work area, while others require the property to be vacated for a stated period. You will receive treatment-specific guidance.

Usually it is better to stop ad-hoc spraying and preserve evidence for inspection. Repellent sprays can scatter pests such as cockroaches or make activity harder to assess. Tell us exactly what has already been used.

True fumigation uses a gas in a controlled enclosure and is a specialised service. The term is often used more broadly in Nigeria, but many pest problems are addressed with gels, baits, traps, residual applications, dusts or targeted misting instead.

Results & follow-up

Timing varies by pest, infestation level and method. Some activity may reduce quickly; baiting and colony-level control can take longer. Bed bugs, rodents, termites and established infestations may need staged work or follow-up.

Short-term activity can occur as pests contact treatment or move from harbourage. Follow the aftercare guidance and report activity according to the review timeline provided. Heavy or external pressure may require additional action.

No responsible provider can promise that pests will never re-enter a property. Outcomes depend on treatment, building condition, sanitation, neighbouring activity and ongoing prevention. Any service warranty or follow-up commitment should be stated in your written scope.

Frequency should reflect the site, industry, activity history, exposure and risk tolerance. Some low-risk offices need less frequent attention than food, hospitality, warehouse or high-traffic sites. A survey helps determine a sensible schedule.

Home preparation

Follow the preparation sheet for your treatment. Food, utensils, medicines and food-contact items may need to be sealed, covered or removed from treatment zones. Do not assume the same instructions apply to every service.

Bed bug preparation must be coordinated carefully. Do not move items to unaffected rooms or discard furniture before advice, as this can spread activity. You will receive a specific preparation plan if bed bugs are confirmed or strongly suspected.

Tell us about dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles and other pets before booking. Different animals have different sensitivities, and aquariums or enclosures may need special protection. Follow the exact instructions given.
